"I’ve been in the Continuous Improvement Department for two years, and during that time I’ve really come to appreciate the supportive, team-driven culture at Greater Omaha Packing. It’s a diverse company where people come from many different backgrounds, and that truly makes a difference—everyone brings something unique, and you’re respected and valued for what you contribute.

GOP is committed to helping employees grow. There are always opportunities to learn, improve, and take on new challenges, and I’ve experienced that firsthand in my role.

To anyone considering joining the team, I’d say that Greater Omaha is a place full of opportunities to grow and build a strong career. It’s a company that invests in you and gives you the space to develop into the professional you want to be.”

“Working at Greater Omaha Packing Co. over the past two years has been an incredibly rewarding experience. As a 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of a very diverse work environment where teamwork truly drives everything we do.

One thing that stands out to me about GOP is how committed the company is to employee growth and development. There are numerous committees and programs available that give employees insight into different areas of the business while also helping develop future leaders. No matter where you are in your career, there are always opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge.

I’m grateful to work for a company that not only values its people but actively invests in their success.”

– Jacob Harbert, 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor

"I’ve been with Greater Omaha Packing for a little over two years, working in maintenance for harvest and refrigeration. My role now is all about learning the ins and outs of our ammonia system, but before that, I helped set up the floor each morning with my coworkers to get harvest started. Every day looks a little different—I fix what needs fixing, jump in where I’m needed, and make sure to have fun along the way.

What I appreciate most about GOP is that the culture is truly growth-oriented if you want to grow. The company is pretty transparent—what you see is what you get—and safety is always the top priority. When it comes to development, they invest in employees through proper job training and continuous education. It’s a priority from the base level all the way up the ladder.

Overall, Greater Omaha is exciting, fun, and stable, with endless opportunities to learn more. I’m proud to be part of it.”

“I’ve been a Trainer in the Fabrication Department for 26 years, and throughout all these years, I’ve seen just how many different cultures and backgrounds come together at Greater Omaha Packing. No matter where you come from, everyone is given the same opportunities to grow, and that’s something I truly value.

To anyone thinking about joining the company, I would say: come with a positive mindset. GOP offers very good benefits and real opportunities to build your future. I am grateful to this company for giving me the chance to grow, and because of my work here, I’ve been able to support my family.

Greater Omaha has been an important part of my life, and I’m proud to be part of this team.”

“I’ve been a Supervisor in the Fabrication Department for five years, and one of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping train our team members so they can continue to improve and grow. We have many different cultures and languages represented here, and it’s great to see how the company integrates everyone into the work environment.

Greater Omaha recognizes strong team members and provides real opportunities for growth and learning. Even if you come in without experience, this company will help you develop the skills you need—not just for today, but skills you can carry with you for the rest of your career.

I’m proud to be part of a place that believes in its people and gives everyone a chance to succeed.”

– Sonny Robles, Supervisor, Fabrication Department
