Nebraska Beef Expands Reach with Chilled Beef Launch in Cairo

Greater Omaha Packing, in partnership with the State of Nebraska and local chilled beef distributor European Paradise, proudly launched Greater Omaha chilled beef in Egypt last week. The milestone event included a Chuck and Clod Chilled Beef training session in Cairo, led by Dr. Chris Calkins, Professor Emeritus of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

The training brought together chefs, distributors, and meat professionals to explore the versatility, quality, and performance of Greater Omaha’s chilled beef cuts. Dr. Calkins provided valuable insight into fabrication techniques, handling practices, and the science behind delivering consistently tender, flavorful beef.

This launch marks a significant step in expanding Nebraska beef’s global reach, strengthening relationships with international partners, and supporting educational efforts that highlight the craftsmanship behind every cut of Greater Omaha beef.
